Start with monthly net income, not only gross salary. Then compare rent, utilities, food, transport, phone, insurance, debt payments and savings goals. A country with higher salary can still leave less money if housing, transport or tax assumptions are much higher.
Use the same household size and lifestyle assumptions for both countries. If you are moving, add one-off costs such as deposits, temporary accommodation, furniture, flights, documents and an emergency buffer. For salary, payroll, VAT, rent contracts or mortgage decisions, verify important numbers with official sources or qualified professionals.
